This initiative is designed to provide a Wounded Warrior with a personal message of support and thanks from his or her favorite college basketball coach.
Operation Front Door
This housing grant initiative was developed and implemented to assist OEF and OIF combat-wounded and disability-rated Warriors secure and sustain home ownership.
Operation Proper Exit
For those Wounded Warriors who are thriving in recovery and are capable of returning to theater, this program itinerary stages a meet-and-greet tour to forward operating bases with a group of recovered soldiers.
Operation V.I.P.: Visit Important People
This program was implemented specifically for the patients of the burn unit at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Spending time at this world-class treatment facility is extremely inspirational and important. A high profile sports personality/celebrity who is passionate about the soldiers' well-being and recovery visits the burn unit as a means to promote reintegration into everyday life. In many cases, additional contact and future activities result from the one-on-one time that the scheduling provides.
